Library Skills News

Upper elementary students attend library skills classes every week for one class period. To build student information literacy, we explore research and study skills in conjunction with the student curriculum. Students also use class time to explore various genres of literature to promote student reading.

    b.  a collection that supports the school curriculum and teachers.
    c.  an array of resources and information to engage students in
activities that extend the classroom experience, and create
opportunities to explore subjects of academic and leisure  interest.

Donate a Book to the Amvet Blvd Library
Click on the Bookworm

Please click on the bookworm to look through the wish list items, selected by our librarian, to find a book that you would like to donate. To make a donation, simply choose an item from the registry list and then create a customized bookplate to go in that book. Both the book and bookplate will go directly to the Amvet Blvd Library to be added to the collection. Students will see your donation, with its bookplate, on the library shelf! While honoring teachers, friends or family members with a gift in their name, you will also be helping the library provide our students with the books they need and cherish.

Thank you for considering a donation to the Amvet Boulevard School Library.
