Dear Parents,
We have many special events coming up for the month of June, including Parent Conferences on June 2 (No School that day), Inner Rhythms (drumming) every Wednesday for individual classrooms, the North Attleboro High School Jazz band on the 7th, Special Olympics Young Athletes on June 9th (volunteers NEEDED!!!), Tunes for Tots (Cindy Tuminelli) on June 23rd, and the Staff/Volunteer end-of-year luncheon prepared by yours truly on the 14th. All parents who gave of their time and talents are invited to attend our luncheon, which will run from 11 -12 on the 14th. The last full day of school will be Thursday, June 23rd; AM IEP students only will attend on Monday, June 27th. School ends at 11:00 for the school year on the 27th.
It takes so many people to make our school as succesful as it is. Thanks to our wonderful staff for helping all of our students to grow, to our school Improvement Council for setting policy and engaging in future planning, to our PTO for supporting enrichment and fundraising efforts throughout the year, to our classroom volunteers for their valuable time and talents, and to our administration for providing central office support. It takes all of us working hard together every day to make the ELC GREAT!!!! Get involved and stay involved in your child's education. There is no more essential life lesson than to show your child by your actions how much you value education. Your child will readily emulate your love and respect for learning.
Please enjoy the upcoming summer season - while we may be worried about the things we may not have during these tough economic times, it's also a time to celebrate all of the wonderful things we do have - family, friends, and great memories. Enjoy your little ones, and find joy in their joy as they frolic through the summer months, on vacation, on the beach, or simply in the backyard! Our children are our greatest treasure, and thegreat memories we create today will take us far into the future!
Kindest regards,
Sheila Burgess,
Principal
