The NAHS Music Department traveled to Washington DC over their April break to participate in a Music Festival/Competition. Competing were the Concert and Jazz Choirs, the Concert, Jazz, and Marching Bands, as well as the Percussion Ensemble. Each group took home a first place plaque and trophy and was awarded with a "Superior" Rating (the highest achievable).

In addition, the Concert Band scored the highest score overall and was awarded a championship trophy and the school was awarded Grand Championship trophies for best overall Choral and Instrumental Ensembles.
