All students at the Middle School use a computerized system called Lunchbox to pay for cafeteria meals, snacks and milk.  It allows them  to get through the cafeteria line quickly and safeguards their money during the school day.

 

Students may pay cash each day or deposit money into their own food service account ahead of time ($22.50 pays for 10 meals,$45.00 for 20 etc. but any amount may be deposited at any time.)  When students come through the cafeteria line, they swipe their individualized I.D.card (obtained in homeroom on the first day of school - replacement cards cost $4.00 each. This card is also used for the libraray, tardiness and early release records) or they punch in their ID number on a pinpad. The cashier then debits each student's account according to what they are purchasing and the program keeps track of the student's balance.

 

All students will be set up with an account whether they have pre-paid by putting money on their account or if they pay cash day by day or receive a free or reduced price meal. 

 

Students can deposit any amount of money in their account with the cashier during their meal period or put a check with their name and ID number in an envelope in the locked cafeteria box in the main school office ahead of time.

Effective immediately, there will be a $25.00 charge for any checks that are returned to us for insufficient funds or a closed account. This is a town-wide policy.
